Life Insurance Awareness Month is a nationwide campaign that kicks off every September. It began in 2004 and was created by the non-profit organization called Life Happens. Their goal is to provide consumers with unbiased information to assist them in deciding to invest in life insurance to benefit and protect their family members. Â
Obtaining Life Insurance is typically more affordable than most people think! Plus, it has multiple benefits, including paying off your debts such as car loans, student loans, and providing funds for your childrenâs college education. It can also assist with caring for aging parents. Certain policies are designed to help beneficiaries in the event that a family member passes. These are referred to as “final expenses”. An amount of funds would be passed along to them to help cover funeral costs, or funds could even be distributed as a gift.Â
